A lot scarier than the 2003 live action Haunted Mansion movie made by Disney. Humour tones down the horror, but has some sequences and jump scares. The Hatbox Ghost may be scary to some people.

Overall, Simien's attempt at a Haunted Mansion movie is better than the previous one. However, I'd be lying if I said I didn't find it lacking. The heart is there, and the more mature themes of grief are too.

The Haunted Mansion typically closes for two and half weeks in late August so it can be converted into the Haunted Mansion Holiday. The overlaid attraction is then open to guests from September through early January before being closed again to remove the overlay.
